Internal recruitment is an option for big businesses, and small businesses if you have a lot of talent coming up through the ranks. Rather than hiring someone new to fill a vacancy, you will hire somebody internally to move into the role. This might mean they get a promotion, or sidestep into a new team or area where their skills are well suited.

This can help you to keep your business moving forward, by giving you committed members of staff who already know the company in important positions. At the same time, if you don’t have anybody suitable, then hiring externally is going to be the better option. Also, it may be easier to recruit people for higher level positions, as it will be am ore competitive salary. This is a great way to bring new ideas into the business as well, hiring someone who has experience in your sector but from another organisation.
